La Veranda, My favorite Lake Como restaurant!

How could I chose just one restaurant among many, well it’s easy if it was clearly the best memorable cuisine in Lake Como. This restaurant is located directly across from the Moltrasio ferry stop, directly on the Lake is a family is a family owned hotel Posta with a fantastic restaurant La Veranda. Previously, It was preference to indulge in my most favored cuisine, being that of southern Italy, until my visit in May, one spring day to what I rate as the best cuisine in Lake Como. Yes this restaurant changed my geographic preference for food.

I arrange dinners for our guests and they always comment of the qualify of food, I truly enjoyed this meal and would recommend to not only our guests but everyone who is in or near Moltrasio!

The restaurant reminded me of a fine dining in New York or Paris. Here you can also enjoy the house wine, which by my discerning standards was quite good! The fish was tasty (see photos below) unlike the salty typical white fish of the lake. I found the cuisine to be among the top restaurants on Lake Como and in Italy.

The owner takes great pride in everything he does, always visiting your table to ask, “how is everything, do you like it?” And my thumbs were up the entire meal. The owners introduce you to the tastes and flavors of the true ancient Mediterranean cooking style.

The restaurant offers a beautiful Veranda, from which you can enjoy the amazing sight of Lake Como during lunches and dinners in Spring, Summer and Autumn. They also have great rooms with views and very clean. Many of our clients go there for dinner upon my suggestions.
