This villa is set above the historical town of Cortona. The cozy and colorful villa has been fully restored to perfection. It was a charming farmhouse that provides a great location for indulging in the lush Tuscan countryside.  Turning into a gloriously open space surrounded by trees and over 150 acres of secluded peaceful surroundings. There is a glorious walk through the woods to one of the most spectacular views overlooking Lake Trasimeno.

The swimming pool, sculpted into the grounds and set into the side of the hill, is designed so that the edge simply ”˜disappears’ into a spectacular natural backdrop. The quaint high ceilings and multiple exits help bring the idea of indoor/outdoor living to a crescendo. The terrace features plenty of lounge space, a barbeque and even a pizza oven! Your reservation includes housekeeping.

While remaining sympathetic to the natural environment, Bosco dei Tartufi is imbued with a sophisticated, yet cozy, traditional ambience. The villa has been furnished with inviting sofas and armchairs, antiques, artifacts – all softened with warm rugs and cushions. The sitting room is smart and spacious, and the study with a fireplace is intimate and tranquil. The spacious kitchen and dining room acts as the social hub of the residence. A well-equipped and attractive living space leads onto a covered terrace with 2 alfresco dining areas in a position with spectacular views of the hills.

Six beautiful bedrooms accommodate up to ten guests at Bosco dei Tartufi. The bedrooms have been designed to pamper and provide ultimate comfort. The bathrooms are characterized by their magnificent free-standing, old-fashioned bathtubs, walk-in showers and spectacular Tuscan stone sinks.

With its two independent cottages within steps from the main house, Bosco dei Tartufi is a perfect accommodation for family gatherings or a group of friends who may appreciate opportunities for privacy while vacationing with their entourage. This villa is a highly recommended property and early booking is advisable. While Tuscan cuisine favors simple items like bread, cheese, fresh produce and olive oil, the art from this area of the world, from the Renaissance to today, has achieved legendary status. Pool is open from May 13 to September 7.  Maid service 6 days a week for 2 hours daily. Please no smoking on the property, no pets are permitted.
