I visited the 700 year old Villa in the autumn of 2017 and I was pleasantly surprised by the steps up, it reminded me of the Amalfi Coast, in that the stone stairs turned into a large stone structure. I enjoyed very much the magical stroll to the villa and at every corner views of the lake and you really felt like you were walking to a place that is very special. Across the walk there is a lake view from the new pool and a large table and garden area to eat, drink and enjoy the pool and scenic lake.
The owners restored the Villa with passion, as every detail was considered in the structural enhancement, as well as the fabrics and furnishings. The villa is completely restored with beautiful furniture and bedding of the highest quality. In total, it can sleep 12 people in 5 double rooms, only 2 do not have a loft with a sofa, each has it’s own bathroom. There is also a 1/2 bath in the main Villa. The table has space for 16 to sit comfortably with an live fire in the stone walls that surround the entire kitchen eating area. The Villa is located about an hour from Milan, and very close to golf courses and plenty of outdoor activities steps from the property, as you are only 70 meters from the Lake.
The views from the property are high as the Villa is perched above the local area and it is beautifully situation in a quaint area. You get the feeling of being in an authentic & quaint town, with a historical presence. The stroll around the town with the lake glistening in the near distance makes this a very peaceful and serene atmosphere. There is parking nearby the Villa about 200 meters from the home. It is very convenient to local attractions and a wine bar a stroll away.
The living area is on the 2nd floor with beautiful elevated views where you will find the living room with a wood burning fireplace. The natural cooled wine cellar is build together with the mountain rocks. Hidden behind glass with the old stones illuminated in the most beautiful way that will not be forgotten. The bathrooms are are large and each bedroom has a loft with additional sleeping, which makes this Villa perfect for larger groups. Then the highlight of my visit the kitchen has a spectacular all stone “dome like” room with a large table that seats 18, behind a fire burning where you can see the flickering colors off of the natural stone, which has been preserved.
This Villa can’t be described well unless you see it for yourself. I would say, that if one could describe a villa as sexy, this would be it! The colors, the structure, the intimate corners, the fire in the backgrounds, the sleek styling of the iron, it’s quite a beautiful place!
