Villa Bianca, A Lakeside Retreat
I first visited Villa Bianca when it was initially purchased by the owner, a young energetic and excited man to offer to his guests the most beautiful views of the Lake. This part of Bellagio is a section that is a few kilometers of a less touristy area, quite more of a neighborhood but special place. Her you will enjoy watching a smaller ferry come by your terrace as you are enjoying breakfast. It’s fantastic. Perfect for weddings that we have done, with large and healthy foliage of an array of trees and high palm trees.
Villa Bianca resides in the lovely hamlet of Vassena that extends along a mile of prime Lake Como shoreline. All of the area’s must-see sights are within easy reach, whether you cruise on the lake, drive the distance or hike the nearby Triangolo Lariano trails, and beloved Bellagio with its elegant shopping and lakeside promenade is only 4 miles up the lake road. The owner fell in love with the property on sight and set about restoring this early 20th century villa to make the most of the breathtaking views from the park, the pool and the house. Outside, guests will find a well-landscaped park, complete with a romantic gazebo, an outdoor pool and an al fresco seating area under a vine-covered pergola. Inside, the villa exhibits clean, modern design, with large windows and French doors to let in the sunlight and frame those lake views.
The accommodations are spread across 3 floors, with a vast open plan living and dining space on the ground floor, along with a state-of-the-art kitchen, a regulation-sized billiards table and a large-screen satellite TV. The second floor has 2 twin and 3 double rooms, some with private terraces, while the third-floor penthouse apartment (booked either with the villa or separately) has its own living and dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, a double and a twin bedroom, a large bathroom and a private roof terrace.
