Luxurious Lake Como Villa

I visited the Villa on a beautiful December day in 2020. It was like a Spring day although It was winter and in the distance the snow capped Alps against the seasonal blossoms left me breathless. . As I approached the Villa passing the famous “Clooney compound” I knew quickly I was in for a pleasant surprise. As I approached a kind man met me in the driveway, he was the owner along with his lovely wife and nephew. “Welcome to our home,” they warmly greeted me with smiles and coffee. Before me I instantly realized that this was one of the most beautifully decorated Villas on Lake Como. This is a home, filled with treasures and the highest quality furnishings, curtains and landscaping, whereas the owners poured their souls into the theme. As the family proudly took me on the tour, it was clearly evident this home, was not just a showcase of their collectibles, it was clearly a loving home, with many warm memories.

So this beautiful Villa; is accentuated with charm and the highest quality of everything, simply everything, nothing was pared in the design to the exterior landscaping. Endless gardens with healthy, mature foliage. 

The villa overlooks lake Como with picturesque views while surrounded by a 5000 sqm of gardens dating back to the eighteenth century. The beautiful Alps protect Lake Como from cold winds and provide Como with a very favorable climate almost year round. 

The main building is surrounded by classic columns, which lead to the grand garden terrace and the illuminated large Grecian style swimming pool followed by a picturesque bridge that will connect you directly to a private dock space on the lake.

The Villa is on two levels:

The Ground floor boasts a large living room with an 18th century marble fireplace and furnished with large comfortable sofas and multiple seating areas to take in the scenic views of the gardens, an elegant study, and a reading and music room accompanied with a billiard table.

Fresco vaulted ceilings and a dining room with a large stone fireplace dating back to the 17th century set the stage for the perfect dinner party . A spacious fully equipped kitchen with working fireplace, a conveniently located laundry and an elegant powder room.

The first floor has five large double bedrooms with stunning views of the Lake and the gardens. There are three bright and charming marble bathrooms and two living quarters leading to the large and fully equipped terrace that is directly connected to the gardens. Off the terrace there is an additional entrances that allow for direct access to the old village.

In addition, there is a boat dock across the road from the Villa, you can arrive by a bridge where you can dock a boat for the duration of your trip (this is a separate cost).

Villa Francesca is a perfect place for relaxation and revitalization. It is a unique place where guests can feel at peace with both nature and themselves. This villa is refined and magical location where you can enjoy the best that the Lake Como and Italy can offer. The price includes utilities, linen, the staff composed of a housemaid, a kitchen assistant, the latter is not a chef, the maintenance of the swimming pool and the garden.  The villa can accommodate on 8 guests in the season of COVID, the master suite will not be offered to accommodate the 2 additional guests which in a standard travel season can accommodate 10 adults.

During the period of stay, guests will enjoy the Villa and tha adjacent swimming pool, the docking at the pier of Villa.

The Villa follows the sanitation protocols for Covid-19 and the rapid swabs on the staff. There is a maid and a kitchen assistant (which is not a chef), she attends to the organization of the kitchen.
