Villa La Collina is a truly enchanting and magical villa.  The location is spectacular, overlooking Lake Como with breathtaking views perched high above the lakeside towns on a very private and expansive property.  The attention to detail in the styling of the home is just perfect, blending the historical beauty of the home with modern furnishings and features.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villa La Collina.  The living areas were perfect for enjoying the beautiful view while relaxing and spending time together.  Although it was warm in July, it was never hot as the any beautiful windows provided a nice breeze both during the day and in the evening. At night, the Villa and surrounding area cooled nicely providing a very comfortable sleeping experience.  Each of the bedrooms were nicely adorned and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped.  We’ve rented several homes and the kitchen at Villa La Collina provided an abundance of dishes, cooking pans, silverware and glassware.  We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and using the grill.  All of the appliances were very high end and worked beautifully.  It was truly a joy to cook in this kitchen! The outdoor dining table was perfect for each of our meals.  It might have been our favorite spot to spend time and engage in conversation.  The pool was perfect for our family and the kids, in particular, loved swimming each day we were there.  The lounge chairs were extremely comfortable and perfect for enjoying the beautiful view throughout the day as well as during sunrise and sunset. The property itself is very large and private.  It offered a real sense of escape from the world and life which was such a nice feeling while being on vacation.  Discovering the many almost hidden areas of the property was a lot of fun… from the hammock nestled under the trees, the bacci court where the kids loved to play, the walk ways throughout the property and the steps leading down to the village. Not only was the property and the villa wonderful, but the small little town of Civenna was something very special to experience.  It was a short walk from the villa to the town center where a grocery store and meat market with fresh meats and cheeses, a pastry shop with fresh pastries and bread, a bar and gelato store and a fresh produce market were all within a short walk of the villa.  The locals were very friendly and helped make it an even more magical experience.

Every aspect of our rental experience was wonderful.  From Christine and Adam to the property’s staff, the process was seamless and the attentiveness to our needs was top notch.  We look forward to staying at Villa La Collina in the future!
