A Majestic Lake Front Villa
Villa Taglione (also know by this name) has an enchanting history of a ballerina named Maria Taglione who is the most famous owner of this Villa. The Italian-French ballerina Marie Talione (1804-1884) revolutionized ballet with her graceful, almost evanescent dancing, introducing the spirituality of Romantic poetry and literature to the world of dance.
I was intrigued by the beauty of the villa, as well as the history. For many years I saw the beautiful property from the Lake; and finally I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely owners and visiting this magnificent property in 2015. The gates to the Estate open to a winding road leading down to two lakeside villas. The property is one of the largest on the lake and is surrounded by beautifully imposing & mature landscapes, made up of many acres of mature flowers and trees. grounds of the property, as you can see are quite magical! Among the gallery of photos, you may notice a photo including a sailboat. I took this one Spring day, when I visited the property. The owners are very kind and the staff welcoming, with bright smiles.
There are two Villas on the property, the original property of Villa Taglione (the ballerina) and another Villa across the path. The twin Villas has in its own courtyard. And, from this courtyard there is a door leading to the town of Blevio. The properties accentuate one another, each very separate, but ideal for larger events. The terraces which are accessible from the main Villas first floor Living areas open up to the Lake. They are expansive and comfortable areas where you can enjoy meals and aperatives, as you enjoy the serenity of the lake breezes. The birds gracefully float above bringing serenity to this already magical atmosphere. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset skies, as they reflect soft pastel colors off from the Lake. In the distance, you can see Moltrasio and the other Villas nestled in the hills.
The property is decorated in elegant fabrics and furnishings, each room elegant and comfortable. The stately, spacious interiors of this historic home are framed by classic features like terrazzo floors, painted ceilings, crystal chandeliers and delicate moldings. Open the French doors in the great room and let the scent of the flowers in the villa’s garden waft over the sitting and dining areas. Though cook service is included in your stay, there is a fully equipped kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances. you can see from the photos, the interior was decorated with much attention to detail, combing antiques and rich accentuates, I found it be very comfortable. The room large with high ceilings. There is a piano in the living room with a large window in front offering spectacular views of the Lake. Many of the rooms have lake front views and side views of the lush gardens. You can spend hours strolling the property with large trees and mature foliage. And enjoy summer days by the pool. The Villas offer options for the perfect setting for a wedding or special celebration. Here you can enjoy hosting your event on one of the largest estates on the Lake Como.
The villa prices include a full staff and 3 meals prepared daily, Maid, Chef and Butler.
Each season brings its own beauty a special part of the Lake. You can enjoy water sports and for those wishing to see the views of the Lake and Mountains from the skies, we can also arrange while you are here. Both Villas are available throughout the year. Check in is at 4:00 PM; Check out is before 10:00 AM
Security Deposit
€5000,00 Euros paid to us and held by our agency. This should be received 2 weeks prior to check in of your Villa. This will be refunded in a check to you after check out (less any damages).
Extra Costs
Beverages, wine and food are not included in the cost of the villa rental. Additional chef services outside of the scheduled times are €13,00 per hour. Personal Laundry is €12,00 per hour. Gasoline for the boat is not included in the cost. Extra linen change extra changes € 40 per bed, € 20 per bath. Additional cooking services per staff outside of the hours listed is €13,00 per hour per staff.
What's Included in the Cost
Staff of a butler, chef, and housekeeper: cleaning 4 hours per day – 7 days a week. Linens changed twice weekly, towels changed daily, chef & butler service available for 3 meals prepared, 6 days a week, except Sunday. Breakfast is from 8:45 — 10:00 a.m., Lunch 12:30 — 2:00 p.m., dinner 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. Additional cooking services outside of the times will be charged at €13.00 per hour. The Villa includes a 40 hp outboard powered speed boat (20 knots, 6 pax). Gasoline & skipper are at an extra cost. Heating, WiFi, AC, tennis courts (5 minute walk from villa) are included.
